Celine Dion announces stage comeback after health battle

Famed Canadian music icon Celine Dion has announced her long-awaited return to the stage, nearly three years after stepping away from touring due to a serious health condition.

The Grammy-winning singer revealed the news in a heartfelt video posted on her official Instagram page as part of celebrations marking her 58th birthday. In the video, Dion confirmed she will headline a special concert series in Paris, France, scheduled to run from September 12 to October 14, 2026.

Expressing gratitude to her global fanbase, Dion acknowledged the overwhelming support she has received during her health struggles.

“You have helped me in ways that I cannot describe. I’m truly so fortunate to have your support,” she said. “I have missed you so much. I’m singing again, and even doing a little bit of dancing.”

The announcement comes nearly three years after Dion cancelled her world tour following complications related to a rare neurological disorder.

In 2022, the singer disclosed that she had been diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome, an incurable condition that causes muscle stiffness and painful spasms. The disorder significantly affected her ability to perform, forcing her to postpone and ultimately cancel scheduled shows.

Her health battle drew widespread sympathy from fans and fellow artists across the globe, many of whom sent messages of encouragement during her time away from the spotlight.

Dion made a notable public appearance in 2024 at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards, where she received a standing ovation from the audience. The appearance marked one of her first major outings since revealing her diagnosis.
