Businessman Olakunle Churchill has dismissed reports of a marital crisis between him and actress Rosy Meurer, insisting that there was no legally recognised marriage between them to warrant a divorce.

Churchill’s reaction follows online reports alleging that Meurer had filed for divorce amid claims of his recent reconciliation with his ex-wife, actress-turned-evangelist Tonto Dikeh.

Responding in a series of posts shared on his Instagram page on Wednesday, Churchill described the circulating divorce documents as baseless, arguing that there was no formal marriage ceremony—either in church or in court—between him and Meurer.

“What took place was an introduction,” he stated. “Therefore, the idea of a ‘divorce’ is baseless from the outset.”

He further denied the authenticity of the reports, stressing that he was never formally served with any legal documents, as required by due process in legitimate divorce proceedings.

“The reports circulating online about a supposed divorce between myself and Roseline Meurer are completely false. There is no truth to them. There was no legally recognised marriage. There was no church wedding and no court wedding,” he wrote.

Churchill also questioned the validity of the alleged legal process and the competence of those involved, suggesting that the documents being circulated did not follow proper legal procedures.

“Beyond that, any legitimate legal process requires that all parties be formally served and given the opportunity to respond. I was never served. So I ask a simple question: what exactly is being presented to the public, and how was it obtained?” he queried.

In a strongly worded remark, he criticised what he described as inexperienced media advisers and unprofessional legal practitioners allegedly connected to the matter.

The development has sparked fresh public attention around the trio, particularly following recent speculation about Churchill’s relationship with Dikeh. However, as of the time of filing this report, Meurer had not publicly responded to Churchill’s claims.
