Agboyi Ketu LCDA council boss Mayor Dele Osinowo a recipient of Vanguard grassroots Icon award has called for better projection of good works done at the council level.
Elated over the award, Osinowo made the call that many good works are being done at the local government level but governnance works at the state and national get better projection than that done at the grassroots.
He highlighted the fact that council administration in Lagos state has generally done alot to better the generality of the populace, but get little or no reckoning in terms of projection, while dedicating the award to them all.
“I want to commend Vanguard for what they have done. For looking deep into the grassroot, most of the media houses are not doing that, they focus on the state and the federal and they are missing out.
“They need to focus on the grassroots, they need to know what the grassroots people are doing, it is not just the third tier of government.
“It is the development foundation, without the local government we are not doing anything. I appreciate them for recognising the 774 local governments through this awards.
Osinowo however, stressed the fact that President Bola Tinubu did laid the foundation for better developments in Lagos state, twenty years ago.
