Former Sen. Dino Melaye and Femi Fani-Kayode have roles to play, official or not, for their candidates in the APC and the PDP, and, as the role demands, they at each other’s jugular now.
The APC attack dog Fani-Kayode barked out a comment he calimed Melaye made, confirming how PDP chairman Iyorcjhia Ayu came on board.
“All the PDP Governors spent money at our party’s National Convention to get Senator Iyorcha Ayu elected as National Chairman”, Fani-Kayode quoted Melaye saying.
And FFK verdict: Melaye’s statement was “a public confession of a criminal offence made by a senior figure within the PDP cabal”.
And, it goes, that Atiku, too, emerged through “corruption and criminality, according to the former aviation minister.
He called the ex-Senate President, PDP national executives, Atiku and vice presidential candidate, Ifeanyi Okowa “illegal and products of cash and carry elections”.
Melaye has since bared his own fangs, too.
“How can one explain his momentary consciousness to react to an interview long granted, if not that his world of reality is not in sync with the world of sound minds,” he reacted to FFK’s statement.
“Truly, an idle hand and heart like that of FFK is the devil’s residence. Ordinarily, his rambling would have been ignored, but in this age of unrestricted access to the media even by unwholesome minds, care must be taken to put issues in the right context and perspective.”
Both politicians were members of the APC before the shipped out to the PDP at different times.
And now FFK is back in the APC where he swore to ‘follow his presidential candidate Bola Tinubu all the way to victory’.
