Professor Chukwuma Soludo, the APGA candidate in the ongoing gubernatorial election, is currently leading in two-thirds of the Local Government Areas of Anambra.
That presents a strong indication the ruling APGA is staying put, i6 years after it became the state’s ruling party.
So far, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah of the YPP and Mr Valentine Ozigbo of the PDP have won one LGA each while Senator Andy Uba of APC is yet to win any LGA.
Results of six LGAs are being expected for the exercise to be brought to a close.
Although there are 21 LGAs in Anambra, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared that elections did not hold in Ihiala LGA.
In all, Soludo has a total of 89,490 votes across 14 LGAs, followed by Ozigbo with 43,142, and Uba with 35,788 votes.
