Banditry: Interior minister, IGP hold closed door meeting with Miyetti Allah leaders

The raging banditry in the North West Nigeria has mad northern leaders restless under the President Miuhammadu Buhari administration and the All Progressives Congress (APC) government. Northern leaders and state actors in the federal government from the north have been holding consultative meeting over the rising violent crimes in the north.   The Minister of Interior, Abdulrahman Dambazzau, in conjunction with the Acting Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, on Friday afternoon held closed door meeting with leaders and members of the Fulani socio-cultural group, Miyetti Allah Cattle Breaders Association of Nigeria.
The  Miyetti Allah Cattle Breaders Association of Nigeria is the group that many trace the herdsmenbelong. Several killings and destruction of property have been traced to the herdsmen in recent time across the country.

National Daily gathered that the meeting is expected to address issues of security crises in the north.

The Acting Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, and other top security personnel were said to have joined the meeting held behind close door.

A source revealed that the meeting may be a process for the federal government to appeal for the cooperation of the Fulani leaders in tackling the rising security crises in the country.

All national executive members of Miyetti Allah led by the President, Muhammadu Kiowa, the National Chief Imam of the group, Isa Bappa, were said to be in attendance  at the meeting.
