A delegation from the Bauchi State Primary Health Care Board visited the Plateau State Primary Health Care Board on Tuesday to enhance healthcare practices and promote inter-state collaboration.
The visit aims to facilitate knowledge sharing and improve healthcare delivery, particularly at the primary care level.
Dr. Cletus Shurkuk, the Commissioner for Health in Plateau, welcomed the delegation during a courtesy call in Jos.
He described the visit as a significant step toward fostering effective knowledge exchange and enhancing expertise between the two states. “This collaboration will ultimately improve the quality of healthcare delivery in both states, especially in primary healthcare services,” Shurkuk stated.
The delegation was led by Dr. Adamu Mohammed, Director of Disease Control and Immunization at the Bauchi State Primary Health Care Board.

He explained that the visit was designed to study the operations and procedures of the Plateau State Primary Health Care Board.
Dr. Mohammed added that the delegation had participated in various interactive sessions, collaborative discussions, and site visits to primary healthcare centers in Plateau.
The insights and ideas gathered during these activities are expected to contribute to the improvement of healthcare services in Bauchi and beyond.
