Belgium plans to send four aircraft for evacuations from Afghanistan

The Belgian Ministry of Defence on Monday announced its planning to send four aircraft to help with evacuations of it citizenry from Kabul airport.
Defence Minister Ludivine Dedonder took the decision in light the very worrying situation in Afghanistan,’’ a statement from her cabinet carried on Belga news agency said.
Interpreters and other Afghans who worked to serve Belgian interests in the central Asian nation would have the possibility to be recognised by the European state, Belga reported, citing the same statement.
These people had often worked for other countries and would also be able to apply for visas elsewhere, the Belgian ministry statement continued.
Countries including the United States, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, the Philippines and Sweden were involved in the efforts to get people out of Afghanistan.
