Court discharges, acquits former Ekiti governor Fayose in N2.2 billion money laundering case
A Federal High Court in Lagos has acquitted former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose of all charges in his N2.2 billion money laundering trial. The court dismissed the case filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), ruling that the prosecution had failed to present a credible case against him. The decision brings to an end a long-running legal battle that has spanned several years.
