EDO: Twist of fate as mass defection hits Ize-Iyamu campaign; 5000 APC members defect to PDP

Before now, tens of Edo Gov Godwin Obaseki’s followers left him in the lurch, and moved over to the APC until Tuesday when things turned around, and a larger defection hit the Osagie Ize-Iyamu camp.

More than 5, 000 of APC’s members in the Esan East LGA, Ward 6, suddenly realized Obaseki is the leader they want. They crossed over to the PDP under the leadership of Hon. John Bobby Palmer.

Leading the members, Palmer said the decision was to secure the reelection of Governor Obaseki and ensure the consolidation of his administration’s achievements.

“Obaseki has done well in his first term and because we love good things, we have no choice but to join the party which stands for development,” he said.

If not for anything Obaseki should win to stop the trend of godfatherism in politics Edo is not Lagos where Ambode a performing governor was thrown out like a sheep for sllauther this is Edo not Lagos Oshoole has lost relevance a former activist got corrupted by absolute power. Oyegum was removed so is he and more to come a man that was suspended by his Ward is no longer Worthy

Nobody else for Edo State governor except Godwin Obaseki. I am from Warri South West in Delta State, Obaseki is man. He doesn’t talk but he his working. I was amazed when World Bank delegates came to Ologbo area in Edo State to see the power Station and modular refinery in less than four years in office.
