Ekiti 2022: APC candidate, Oyebanji, denies involvement in vote buying

The winner of the June 18 governorship election in Ekiti State,  Biodun Oyebanji, candidate of the ruling  All Progressives Congress (APC),  had in Abuja denied involvement in vote buying at the polls.

Oyebanji, at the State House, Abuja, after being led to President Muhammadu Buhari by APC leaders on Monday, cleared APC from any complicity in vote buying during the governorship election ion Ekiti State.

The emergent governor of Ekiti State insisted that his victory was because of the performance of Governor Kayode Fayemi of the APC.

APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu, also emphasized that candidates who lost in the election are making allegations of vote-buying at the polls.

Oyebanji was taken to Buhari by the APC National Chairman, Abdulahi Adamu, Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State, Governor Abubakar Badaru of Jigawa State, Governor Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi, and as well as the Minister of Industries, Niyi Adebayo.
