Erling Haaland signs Premier League’s BIGGEST EVER contract with new NINE-AND-A-HALF YEAR deal at Man City

Erling Haaland has signed a staggering nine-year contract with Manchester City, marking one of the largest deals in football history.

The 24-year-old striker, who has already proven instrumental in City’s success, will see an increase in his £400,000-a-week wages as part of the new contract.

Notably, the release clauses that were present in his previous deal have been removed.

Haaland, who has already etched his name into Premier League history with consecutive Golden Boots and a record-breaking 111 goals in 126 games since joining from Borussia Dortmund, expressed his excitement about the long-term commitment.

“I’m super happy, proud,” Haaland said. “I’m looking forward to staying here for a long time. Now I can fully focus on getting better because I am going to stay here for such a long time.

Full focus on performing and getting better to give all of the fans what they want.”

He further explained that the decision to stay at the Etihad was made easy due to the support and encouragement he’s received from Manchester City’s board, management, and Pep Guardiola. “The hunger and the support that I have been getting for the last couple of years made it an easy decision,” he added.

Haaland’s presence was crucial to Manchester City’s historic Treble in 2023, and his continued success is key to the club’s future ambitions. “To win the Treble is ridiculous,” he said, reflecting on the team’s achievements. “Look forward, stay positive, and attack what is ahead.”

Director of Football Txiki Begiristain praised Haaland’s impact on the club, highlighting not just his exceptional talent but also his professionalism and dedication. “Erling has made an incredible impact already,” said Begiristain. “He is one of the finest strikers in world football, but he is still very young and will only continue to improve under Pep’s guidance.”
