Contrary to reports by some section of the media that Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, President of LoveWorld Incorporated, removed Mr. Daysman Oyakhilome Woghiren as President of Loveworld Next and Loveworld Innovation, and subsequently suspended him from all official roles because of his affiliation with the presidential candidate of All Progressive Congress, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, National Daily can authoritatively state that the report is completely untrue, misleading and deliberate disinformation.

In the video clip of the Global Communion and Praise Service broadcast, where Pastor Chris made the announcement, there was nowhere the cleric mentioned suspending Daysman who also is his nephew for either supporting Tinubu or on political grounds.

He quoted the Book of Provers19, verse 18, which says “Chasten thy Son while there is hope, and let not thy soul spare for his crying.”

“Proverbs chapter 19, verse 18 contains warnings for young people who are going to have to take life seriously and behave better. Like they say all that glitters is not gold, right? But things are not just because some other people are doing it and you start doing it too and misbehaving.

“The NIV version says discipline your children, for in that there is hope. Do not be a willing party to their death. Because if you don’t correct them, they’re going to go in the wrong direction. And it’s certain death. Now for the Loveworld Next and LoveWorld Innovations, which are part of youth organizations, Daysman Oyakhilome Woghiren is removed from being president for gross misconduct.”

“So he no longer handles any of that and I am placing him under spiritual rehabilitation. He has to go through a spiritual rehabilitation programme from now with immediate effect,” Oyakhilome stated.
