The transfer of Harry Kane away from Tottenham has remained a subject a debate recently after some top European giants like Manchester United, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich were reported to have been interested in the England captain.
While Manchester United are believed to have decided to focus on other targets as they felt Spurs were unwilling to negotiate, Bayern have appeared to be desperate in landing the 29-year-old.
However, National Daily understands that Bundelsiga champion’s second offer of £70m for Tottenham talisman still falls well short of the north London’s valuation for the English man and will be turned down.
Following Tottenham’s rejection of the opening offer of around £60m by Bayern, the Germans have submitted an improved offer worth £70m and includes a series of add-ons that would raise the overall price.
National Daily understands that Bayern are of the opinion that their latest offer is a fair price for the striker, who is out of contract in 2024 and turns 30 later this summer.
Meanwhile, Spurs are believed to be unwilling to listen to offers for Kane and, in any case, are said to value the forward at over £100m
And going by Spurs’ stance, it therefore means that the north Londoners are willing to risk losing Kane on a free in 2024, when his contract expires.
Bayern know the competition for Kane will be far greater in 12 months’ time and they’re willing to put up a huge fee in order to secure the England skipper.
Kane is due to return to pre-season on Wednesday and he’s kept a low profile this summer, refusing to address the speculation.
