Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has signed into law landmark bill on creation of new emirates and chiefdoms in the State.

According to Muhammad Bakari Tukur, Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri on New Media, @MGcfr “The new legislation, signed on Monday, also marks a significant milestone as it officially recognizes the Lamido Adamawa as the Chairman of the State Council of Emirs and Chiefs— the first such recognition since the state’s establishment.”

The SAA asserted that details of the new emirates and chiefdoms are expected to be announced soon. The move is seen as part of Governor Fintiri’s broader efforts to strengthen traditional governance and foster inclusivity across the state, he said.
