Irish actor Michael Patrick, best known for his appearance in the acclaimed television series Game of Thrones, has died at the age of 35 following a prolonged illness.

His passing was confirmed by his wife, Naomi Sheehan, who revealed that the actor had been living with Motor Neuron Disease for the past three years. The degenerative neurological condition gradually affects movement and muscle function.

In a heartfelt tribute, Sheehan described her late husband as an extraordinary individual whose courage and outlook on life inspired many, even in the face of serious health challenges.

“Words can’t capture the depth of our heartbreak. Mick inspired everyone fortunate enough to know him, not only during his illness but throughout his entire life,” she said.

According to her, Patrick maintained his vibrant personality and uplifting spirit despite his diagnosis. She noted that he remained full of joy, humour, and energy, leaving a lasting impression on those around him.
