Plateau Governor, Caleb Mutfwang has urged the Muslim faithful in the state to pray for peace as they commence the Ramadan fast.
Mutfwang, who stated this in a statement on Monday, asked Muslims to also pray for political leaders so that they can provide good governance.
He said, “I extend my heartfelt greetings and best wishes on behalf of the government and the peace-loving people of Plateau State to you all, as you embark on this month of sacrifice and self-denial.
“Indeed, Ramadan offers a precious window for soul-searching, spiritual renewal, and moral fortification.
“It is a time when acts of kindness and charity shine brightest, illuminating the path for those who have less.
The observance of the 2024 Ramadan fast holds particular importance for us as a community.
It presents a cherished opportunity to pray for our leaders so that they can provide good governance.
