Governor’s nominees: Lagos Assembly confirms six drops parking authority nominee 

‎Lagos Lawmakers has confirmed six out of the total seven nominees forwarded by the Governor for appointment into strategic State agencies.

‎The confirmation was carried out at the Plenary session on Thursday presided over by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. (Dr.) Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa.

The nominees were invited one after the other to appear before the forty members of the House for screening and confirmation.

During the screening exercise, the nominees vision and expected contribution were scrutinised ahead of their confirmation.

‎Those eventually confirmed include Mr. Kehinde Durosinmi-Etti as Chairman, Lagos State Security Trust Fund; Engr. Olopade Adekunle as Executive Member, Lagos State Electricity Regulatory Commission; Barr. Mrs. Temitope George as Chief Executive Officer, Lagos State Electricity Commission; Mr. Alexander Akinwunmi Ogunbiyi as Chairman, Lagos State Electricity Regulatory Commission; Mr. Falola Olakunle as Executive Member, Lagos State Electricity Regulatory Commission and Mr. Bello Wasiu Oladimeji as Member (Non-Executive), Lagos State Electricity Regulatory Commission.

‎Following the deliberations, the House confirmed all the nominees except Mrs. Adebisi Adelabu, whose confirmation was stepped down on account of previous flippant disregard for the House, refusal to show up for the statutory legislative confirmation overtime while allegedly serving in public office without legal permission.
