Arsenal’s busy summer transfer window is heating up, with manager Mikel Arteta confirming the club is still actively seeking new players despite already securing four high-profile signings. Their spending spree, however, doesn’t appear to be over. Arsenal’s busy summer transfer window is heating up, with manager Mikel Arteta confirming the club is still actively seeking new players despite already securing four high-profile signings.

Arsenal has already made a significant statement in the transfer market, splashing out approximately £123.5 million to bring in a quartet of talented players. The Gunners have successfully completed deals for midfielder Martin Zubimendi, goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, and the attacking duo of Christian Norgaard and Noni Madueke.

The club’s spending spree, however, doesn’t appear to be over. Arsenal is still deep in negotiations for Sporting striker Viktor Gyokeres in a deal worth around £63.5 million, and they’re also working to secure young defender Cristhian Mosquera from Valencia.

Despite hoping to have Gyokeres on board for the pre-season tour, a deal has yet to be finalised. Speaking in Singapore ahead of the team’s match against AC Milan, Mikel Arteta remained tight-lipped about specific targets. “I cannot comment on any player who is not part of our group yet,” he stated. “When we have something concrete to offer, we will do that.”

Arteta confirmed that the club is still actively scouting for new additions who could join the squad while they’re abroad. “There’s still a long time in the window, and we are seeking still,” he explained. “In terms of numbers, we are short and we have to improve the depth and quality of the squad. We are constantly looking in the market.”

The Gunners are currently in Singapore for matches against AC Milan and Newcastle before heading to Hong Kong to face rivals Tottenham. The new signings have already made an impact, bringing fresh energy to the squad. “It’s like shaking the tree again,” Arteta said. “New faces… they bring new excitement, new energy as well. We signed very important players, and I think everybody feels that the heights have to go to a different level, and it’s what we are seeking.”
