What is going on in Nigeria at present demands that we should be wary of the environment we live in as different evil people are now on the prowl to kill at any point in time.

What happened in Ogun state recently, where the Nigerian police arrested about seven notorious gangs who specialize in killing and butchering people for sale to ritualists, is worth pondering.

According to a video shared by the Punch Newspaper, it happened that some notorious killers who kill for ritualistic purposes were caught in a place known as Bode-Olude, a place situated in Ogun State.

According to reports, these people have been known for killing people in the area. It was even claimed that one of them shot at cyclists who came to check on somebody in the said place, but he was lucky to have escaped death.

What now precipitated the arrest of these evil people was how they entered the house of a certain man named Sunday Okosun in the village. They found him lonely, killed him, butchered him, and sold his flesh for ritualists.

Some days later, his younger brother, Abraham Okosun, came to look for him but found him absent.

According to Abraham, who was later interviewed, his brother is a man of his words. If he says he is at home, one will go and find him there. That is why Abraham was so surprised to find him not at home. In that way, he knew something must have happened. As a result, he had to inform the police about the disappearance of his brother.

It was through the investigation of the Nigerian police that the killers were detected and they were all arrested.

When the investigation was on, the culprits confessed that they were the ones who killed Sunday Okosun in his house and sold his flesh to people who needed it.

They later confessed to being responsible for numerous deaths in the domain. When the people who live in the nearby village were contacted about the happenings, that is, the people who live in the main village of Baaki, Bode-Olude, they testified that they were aware that some evil people were in their vicinity doing evil jobs, but no one was bold enough to go and confront them. Aside from that, many of them said most of the stories they have been hearing are sketchy until the latest one occurs.

The leader of the community also made it clear that they have tried in the past to curtail the evil acts, but since the culprits are sojourners, they are very hard to detect. It was even known that one of the evil men had built a standard house in the land, yet no one knew that he was among the evildoers.

At present, seven of the culprits have been arrested, and they are prepared to face the wrath of the law.
