A house wife has been sacked by an Igando court on Wednesday after the husband filed a divorce petition against her.
National Daily gathered that the husband, MrSunday Olaosebikan, told the court that his wife had always refused him sex until he paid N500 every time he had sex with her.
He said he was tired of paying N500 per round of sex so he dragged her to court.
The wife, a 32-year-old Mrs Mutiatu Olaosebikan, who was married to her husband about seven years ago, had the marriage dissolved by an Igando Customary Court in Lagos after the court granted her estranged husband right of dissolution.
Mr Olaosebikan further disclosed that apart from demanding money for sex, she regularly attacked her with dangerous weapons anytime they had misunderstanding.
“My lord, she once stabbed me with a broken bottle on my head and I bled heavily which landed me in hospital.
“Mutiatu placed her kitchen knife under her pillow and when I queried her, she said her pastor instructed her to use it anytime she had bad dreams.
“But whenever I requested for sex or during an argument, she brought out the knife threatening to stab me,’’ he said.
Describing his wife as aggressive and violent person, Olaosebikan added that “she may kill me if I continue with the marriage. I had to run away from the home to avoid untimely death.
The 42-year-old businessman begged the court to terminate the union on grounds of lack of love.
In her defence, Mutiatu said her husband, was fond of withdrawing his penis thereby preventing sperm into her saying he does not want her to get pregnant again.
“He started this withdrawal method about five years ago. I have only one child who is six years old now. He can go more than six rounds, but will never release the sperm into me, instead he pours it on the floor.”
The 34-year-old trader also described her husband as tight-fisted as she has been the one taking care of their baby from birth.
She urged the court to grant her husband’s request for the dissolution of the marriage as she was also tired of the marriage.
In his ruling, the President of the court, Mr Adegboyega Omilola, explained that evidences indicated that both parties were tired of the marriage since every effort to reconcile them failed.
“Since both parties had consented to the dissolution of their marriage, this court has no choice than to dissolve the marriage.
“The court pronounced the marriage between MrSunday Olaosebikan and Mrs Mutiatu Olaosebikan dissolved, both parties henceforth cease to be husband and wife.
“Both are free to go their separate ways without any hindrance or molestation,” Omilola stated.
However, the custody of the only child of the marriage was granted to the mother.
