I’m confident of victory—Tinubu

Shortly after casting his vote at Ward 3, Polling Unit 85, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos, around 10:20 am, presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, says he’s assured of victory at the end of the day.

Tinubu was accompanied by his wife, Oluremi.

Speaking briefly after the exercise, the former Lagos Governor commended the process, and said “democracy is here to stay in Nigeria.”

“It is a worthwhile exercise, we don’t have a uniform expectation because every environment has its peculiarities. This is a more credible election than previous ones and it is good that we are getting better every election year.”

Asked how certain he was of victory, Tinubu said, “I’m too certain.

“I’m confident of victory. “I want to commend Nigerians for coming out en masse to cast their votes without any rancor,” he added.

He also charged the people to maintain decorum, cast their votes peacefully.

Officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) accredited the APC candidate who is number 246 on the voter’s list.

The INEC officials announced 324 as the total number of registered voters at the polling unit.

The Iyaloja General, Mrs. Folashade Tinubu-Ojo, who is number 247 on the list, also voted at the same polling unit as Tinubu.
