Jetour appoints W Motors as official distributor, launches G700 SUV

Jetour has appointed W Motors as its authorised distributor in Nigeria, formalising a strategic partnership aimed at expanding the Chinese automaker’s footprint in Africa’s largest automotive market.

The collaboration brings together Jetour’s global automotive innovation with W Motors’ strong local market presence and operational expertise.

Through the partnership, Jetour Nigeria said it is committed to delivering high-quality, technologically advanced vehicles designed to meet Nigerian road conditions and customer expectations.

According to the companies, the alliance will be backed by professional aftersales support, a reliable distribution network and a customer-centric service model, ensuring a seamless and dependable ownership experience.

Both brands said the goal is to raise automotive standards in Nigeria by offering enhanced value, reliability and service excellence across the market.

As part of the partnership, Jetour officially launched the highly anticipated Jetour G700 in Nigeria on Wednesday, January 28, 2026.

The launch took place at the Jetour flagship showroom on Adeyemo Alakija Street, Victoria Island, Lagos, and marked a major milestone for the brand’s expansion in the country.

The event was attended by Mr Yuan Anguo, Vice President of Jetour International, whose presence underscored the company’s commitment to the Nigerian and wider African markets.

Industry leaders, members of the media and automotive enthusiasts were also in attendance, with the launch generating strong interest and positive reception.

Speaking at the event, Mr Yuan said Jetour has globalised its research and development operations to meet the needs of diverse markets. He also disclosed plans to introduce a pickup model into Nigeria in the near future as part of efforts to deepen the brand’s presence and grow its share of the local automotive industry.

On his part, the Chief Executive Officer of W Motors, Mr Wadih Nasrallah, assured customers of robust aftersales support, noting that the company has established a dependable spare-parts supply system.

He added that Jetour vehicles in Nigeria would be backed by a seven-year, unlimited-mileage warranty, described as the first of its kind in the African market.

The newly launched Jetour G700 is a luxury hybrid all-terrain SUV built for off-road performance. It is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine paired with two electric motors, producing a combined 904 horsepower and 1,135 Nm of torque. The SUV accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds.

The G700 also offers a total driving range of between 800 and 1,000 kilometres, a wading depth of 900 mm, and seven intelligent off-road driving modes designed to handle terrains ranging from city roads to desert landscapes.

Inside, the six-seater cabin features massage seats and a healthy air system to enhance comfort. The cockpit is equipped with advanced four-screen interaction, a Snapdragon-powered voice control system and seamless connectivity, blending luxury with cutting-edge technology.

Other Jetour models currently distributed by W Motors in Nigeria include the Jetour T1, Jetour T2 and Jetour X90 Plus, among others, as the brand continues to expand its product lineup in the market.
