Jetour has officially introduced a new model of its popular compact SUV — Jetour Dashing — to the Nigerian market, promising to redefine the driving experience with its cutting-edge design, intelligent technology, and competitive pricing.

Unveiled through Jetour Nigeria, the new Dashing model is already turning heads and is expected to intensify competition in Nigeria’s growing compact SUV segment.

The vehicle blends style, comfort, performance, and smart features, targeting consumers seeking a modern SUV with premium touches at an affordable price point.

The Dashing’s aerodynamic body features a bold front beltline, large grille, and sleek LED headlights that give it a distinctive road presence. Its panoramic sunroof floods the cabin with natural light, enhancing the sense of space for passengers.

Inside, the five-seater configuration boasts a refined and modern aesthetic. The centerpiece is a massive 15.6-inch touchscreen display equipped with both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay for seamless smartphone connectivity.

Additional cabin highlights include ambient lighting, an advanced infotainment system, and 8-Surround Hi-Fi speakers that deliver cinema-quality audio.

The SUV is powered by a 1.5 or 1.6-litre turbocharged engine, paired with a 4-cylinder, 16-valve DVVT setup. With an output of 145kW and 290Nm torque, the engine is mated to a dual-clutch automatic transmission, ensuring both power and efficiency.

Drivers can choose from multiple drive modes — Eco, Sport, and Normal — while enjoying the benefits of Integrated Adaptive Cruise Control, Column Gear Shifting, Remote Start, and Smart Entry & Push Start systems.

Safety is a central feature of the new Dashing. It comes equipped with front and rear airbags for driver and passengers, as well as advanced driver-assistance systems such as: Automatic Emergency Braking System; Electronic Parking Brake and Auto Hold System; 360°/540° Panoramic Parking Camera and Sensor; Lane Departure Warning System and many others.

The Dashing’s interior includes Power Driver & Passenger Seats with heating, ventilation, and lumbar support functions, as well as a memory seat option. The vehicle also features auto trunk opening and closing, wireless charging, voice command, air purification, and dual-zone auto climate control with rear vents.

According to Jetour Nigeria, the Dashing is positioned to appeal to upwardly mobile professionals, young families, and tech-savvy drivers who desire luxury and safety without the high price tag.

Industry analysts say its competitive pricing, smart technology, and bold design could make it a strong rival to other compact SUVs in the Nigerian market.

“Jetour is clearly targeting a younger, urban demographic that wants premium quality at a reasonable cost. This launch could disrupt the compact SUV space,” said automotive analyst Chinedu Nwokorie.
