Lagos is set to become the epicenter of the global music industry as the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA), in partnership with bridgeAfric and UNESCO, hosts the Showbiz101 Global Workshop and Music Creation Camp from March 26 to 29, 2025.

The highly anticipated event will bring together top music executives, celebrities, business leaders, and creative industry professionals from across the world. It aims to train young creatives, foster international collaborations, and enhance the skills of music creators and professionals across the industry value chain.

Speaking on the initiative, Adenrele Niyi, Chief Experience Officer (CXO) of AFRIMA, emphasized the institution’s commitment to empowering Africa’s creative industry through capacity-building and cross-border collaborations.

“As AFRIMA, our mission includes building capacity and fostering collaborations by creating opportunities for African artists to grow, connect, and push boundaries. The Showbiz101 Global Workshop & Music Creation Camp is about more than just music; it’s about equipping young creatives with the tools, knowledge, and global networks they need to succeed,” Niyi stated.

“Our goal is to reinforce Africa’s position as a global music powerhouse—one hit, one artist, one opportunity at a time. We are excited to be at the forefront of this initiative,” Niyi added.

Victoria Nkong, President of bridgeAfric and an Associate Producer for AFRIMA, highlighted the need to educate and train young talents to ensure the future of Africa’s creative industry.

“We believe learning is key to solving challenges in the entertainment industry. This workshop will provide young people with the skills and knowledge they need to thrive,” Nkong explained.
