Marcus Rashford is on the verge of committing his future to Manchester United by signing a new five-year contract, having reached an agreement on personal terms with the club.

Over the past year, discussions have been ongoing between the England international and Manchester United regarding an extension of his current deal, which is set to expire next summer.

Despite attracting interest from Paris Saint-Germain, Rashford has made it clear that his intention is to remain at his boyhood club.

While PSG was prepared to offer Rashford higher wages than those presented by Manchester United, the 25-year-old forward’s loyalty to his long-time club has prevailed.

According to sources, Rashford and the club have verbally agreed on the terms of a new contract, with the final details now being ironed out.

This development comes as a significant boost for United’s manager, Erik ten Hag, who played a key role in Rashford’s exceptional performances during the previous season.

Rashford’s remarkable form saw him score an impressive 30 goals in 56 appearances, marking his highest tally in a single campaign.

With the imminent departure of David De Gea, who previously held the title of United’s highest earner with a weekly wage of approximately £375,000, it is expected that Rashford will assume the mantle as the club’s top earner.
