Most health experts advise women on how to keep their lady parts healthy and the dangers of not taking care of their lady parts. However, not much concern is given to men. Not every man is aware of the fact that his male organs need to be clean and healthy. However, just like women, men should also take care of their male organ. It is just as important. Doing so protects you from STIs and keeps you healthy.

Here are a few things every man should do to keep his male organ healthy;

1.      Stick to one partner

There are numerous benefits of maintaining one partner with whom you can get intimate. Having multiple partners puts you at risk of STIs like gonorrhea, herpes and HIV. STIs can be very dangerous in men because unlike women, men don’t experience symptoms in the early stages. If you enjoy having multiple partners, then always use protection to avoid getting STIs. Also make sure you go for regular screening to detect if you have any infections.2.      Clean your private area

Most men take this for granted. The don’t pay attention to their private areas while bathing. Failure to properly clean your private area can result in foul smell. Sweat and hair in your private area can produce a strong foul if you don’t clean it regularly.

Wash your male organ with water. You don’t need to use scented soaps or creams. To clean your male organ, just wash it with warm water and dry it gently with a clean towel. Avoid using scented soap, powder or perfume around your private area because they may cause irritation.

Make sure you take care of pubic hair as well. If you leave it to become bushy, it will cause foul smell when you sweat down there. You can shave or trim your pubic hair. Shave if you want to remove the hair completely and trim if don’t want the hair out completely.

3.      Exercise regularly

Some reproductive health problems stem from being overweight or obese. For example, men who are overweight are more likely to have penile yeast infection compared to men who have normal weight. Also, maintaining health body weight and being physically fit reduces your risk of suffering from erectile dysfunction.

4.      Eat healthy

Eating healthy foods can lower your risk of suffering from reproductive diseases like erectile dysfunction and prostate cancer. Make sure your diet is rich in foods that contain antioxidants. Maintain a healthy diet also helps in maintaining healthy weight.To keep your male organ healthy, keep it clean, eat healthy foods, exercise regularly and talk to a doctor whenever you feel concerned about your genitals.
