Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, on Wednesday urged Nigerians to exercise patience and maintain confidence in the current administration as the nation continues to grapple with intermittent electricity supply.

Speaking to reporters, Adelabu reassured citizens that the government, led by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has “laudable plans” for the power sector that are set to be implemented in due course.

The minister acknowledged the ongoing power supply challenges but emphasized that they are being addressed through strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening the nation’s energy infrastructure.

He stressed that with continued patience and faith in the government’s policies, Nigerians will begin to witness tangible improvements in electricity provision across the country.

Observers note that the call for patience comes amid public frustration over frequent power outages, particularly in urban centres, and reflects the government’s effort to manage expectations while rolling out structural reforms in the sector.
