Ahead of the 2027 general elections, the Network for Capacity Building for Nigerians (NECBAN) has unveiled plans for a nationwide ward-to-ward sensitization campaign targeting women across Nigeria’s 774 local government areas to rally support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election.

Speaking to journalists in Abuja, NECBAN President Hajia Hussena Otaru said the initiative aligns with President Tinubu’s transformative vision and focuses on empowering women to participate actively in national development.

“We undertake awareness programs for Nigerian women to help them engage fully in national affairs, achieve self-actualization, and access empowerment opportunities. We promote grassroots educational mobilization and also provide aid to indigent students in educational institutions,” she said.

Hajia Otaru emphasized that NECBAN’s mission includes educating, training, and mobilizing Nigerians, fostering national values, encouraging sustainable development, and promoting peaceful coexistence.

She highlighted President Tinubu’s inclusive policies for women and economic reforms, noting that the “renewed hope agenda is producing positive results, and the best way to appreciate these achievements is to renew his mandate in 2027.”

The NECBAN president also commended the Renewed Hope Initiative led by First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu, calling it a “game-changer for Nigerian women and girls.”

Hajia Otaru confirmed that NECBAN has already begun consultations, sensitization drives, and mobilization efforts and is ready to launch full-scale operations once the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) gives approval.
