Senator Ned Nwoko has announced a free JAMB registration scheme for 1,500 students from Delta North Senatorial District as the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) registration gets underway.

The lawmaker disclosed the initiative in a statement on Wednesday via his official X page, saying it was driven by his belief that “education is the foundation upon which lasting development is built” and that “no qualified student should be denied access to higher education due to financial constraints”.

The free registration will benefit students across all nine local government areas of Delta North: Aniocha North, Aniocha South, Ika North East, Ika South, Ndokwa East, Ndokwa West, Oshimili North, Oshimili South and Ukwuani.

Eligible applicants must be 16 years or older by September 30, 2026, and must generate their JAMB profile code using their National Identification Number. Required details include the applicant’s full name, JAMB profile code, and council ward for proper documentation and verification.

Interested applicants should complete their registration via the portal: https://tinyurl.com/ysp9p4sd, with the deadline set for Sunday, February 15, 2026.

The JAMB registration initiative is part of Senator Nwoko’s wider commitment to youth empowerment through education. He has previously awarded full scholarships to 90 students from Delta North to study at the Sports University of Nigeria in Idumuje-Ugboko, covering full tuition, accommodation, and textbooks for four years.

Reaffirming his commitment to youth empowerment and educational access, Nwoko said he remained “resolute in advancing policies and programmes that expand access to education, empower our youths, and strengthen the social and economic future of Delta North”.

The announcement comes as JAMB has commenced registration for the 2026 UTME, with the senator’s intervention expected to ease the financial burden on families across Delta North and increase access to tertiary education for deserving students.
