Victor Osimhen has provided a major fitness boost to Galatasaray after returning to full training ahead of their crucial UEFA Champions League playoff second-leg clash against Juventus.

The Nigerian striker had missed the Turkish champions’ 2-0 away defeat to Konyaspor last Saturday due to a minor knee injury, sparking concerns over his availability for the decisive European fixture.

However, the 27-year-old eased those fears on Monday by participating fully in training as manager Okan Buruk intensified preparations for the high-stakes encounter.

Wednesday’s showdown will take place at the Juventus Stadium in Turin, where Galatasaray will look to protect their commanding first-leg advantage. The Yellow and Reds head into the contest as strong favourites to progress to the Round of 16 after an emphatic 5-2 victory in the opening leg.

Osimhen played a pivotal role in that dominant performance, providing two assists to put the Italian giants on the back foot. His influence in Europe this season has been significant, as he currently stands as Galatasaray’s top scorer in the competition with six goals.

With qualification to the knockout stage within touching distance, Osimhen’s return could prove decisive for the Turkish champions as they aim to finish the job in Turin and secure their place among Europe’s elite.
