‘Peru’ remix ft. Ed Sheeran hits over 2m views in less than 24 hours

The remix of Fireboy’s hit track ‘Peru’ featuring Grammy-winning British music star, Ed Sheeran has continued to make wave across streaming platforms.

In less than 24 hours the official video of the remix dropped, it has garnered 1.9 million views on YouTube.

It is the highest number of views in such a short time in any of Fireboy’s videos.

The closest Fireboy’s track to enjoy over 1 million streams is the video of his track ‘Airplane mode’ which has garnered 1.9 million views after six months of its release.

Ever since ‘Peru’ remix dropped on Friday, the song instantly became the talk of the internet trending number one on Twitter and other internet platforms.

Fans have continued to praise Ed Sheeran for his talents and mastery of Yoruba lines in the song that helped him deliver the hit remix seamlessly.

Owing to how natural Ed Sheeran sounded despite the language some fans on Twitter claim the British musician thought the song belonged to him and forgot he was only being featured.

Before the release, Ed Sheeran revealed how impressed he was with ‘Peru’ and said he had the song on repeat for a week.

“It’s addictive, and I’m obsessed with it. I mean, Cherry will tell you, I’ve had this song on repeat constantly in the house for the last week.”

Fireboy DML thrilled his fans with his song, ‘Peru’, which was released in July.

The song, which was produced by Shizzi, was part of Fireboy’s upcoming album, the singer revealed during its release.
