The Plateau State Governor-elect Barr. Caleb Mutfwang has inaugurated a nine Member Transition Committee to ensure a smooth Transition Come May 29th.
Speaking at the event, Mutfwang said he will be a Governor for all irrespective of Political Party and Other differences and charged members of the Committee to see their assignment as that of the people of Plateau State.
Our correspondent reports that the Atiku /Mutfwang campaign team was dissolved at the event.
The nine member committee is to work with a nine man transition committee set up by the State Government towards ensuring a successful hand over.
While thanking the people for the mandate given to him, the Governor-elect expressed his commitment that the trust given to him will not be betrayed.
Mutfwang noted that his administration will set standards from the beginning and must be responsible and accountable.
He called on the legislative arm to operate within the context that are beneficial and useful to the people of the State.
The Governor-elect said the Party has confidence in the Judiciary and expressed the believe that all tribunals operating in the State will work with the fear of God and sense of responsibility and assured that the party will do it’s best to win in all the tribunals.
He applauded the campaign council for a job well done and expressed the believe that the transition committee will do a good job.
Speaking earlier, Chairman of the PDP in the State Chris Hassan applauded the campaign structure that worked for the success of the PDP in the State.
On his part, Chairman of the Atiku/Mutfwang Campaign Council Hon. Latep Dabang said their task was made easy considering the support they received from the party and the people of the State.
However, Chairman of the Transition Committee Professor Ganyir Lonbin said they will work assiduously towards fulfilling the trust bestowed on them.
On his first appointment, the Governor-elect has as well approved the appointment of the Correspondent of the Sun Newspaper and Chairman Correspondent Chapel in the State Gyang Bere as his Special Assistant Media and a retired Civil servant in the State Moses Nwam as his Senior Special Assistant Special duties.
