In a late-night operation on Friday, law enforcement officers conducting routine patrols in response to rising robbery incidents arrested two men, identified as Tunde Oluwole and one Oluwasegun tokubo Agboola, on allegations of engaging in a same-sex act inside a parked vehicle.

According to police sources, the officers noticed a stationary car with movement inside and approached to investigate. Upon reaching the vehicle, they reportedly discovered Tunde and his Agboola engaged in an intimate act.

The officers immediately took both individuals into custody and transported them to the station for questioning, despite their appeals for release.

Tunde and his companion remained in police detention for four days before being transferred to the state command on Wednesday for further interrogation under the supervision of the Divisional Police Officer (DPO).

During this period, law enforcement officials, particularly the department handling cases related to sexual offenses, conducted extensive searches on their mobile devices.

Authorities claim that the examination of their phones revealed connections to multiple other same-sex partners.

Further scrutiny of Tunde’s phone reportedly uncovered explicit images and short videos, including personal exchanges between Tunde and Oluwasegun tokubo Agboola.

These findings, according to the police, suggested an ongoing intimate relationship between Tunde and Segun.

During the investigation, it was discovered that Tunde’s companion was a nephew of a prominent chieftain of the All-Progressives Congress (APC).

Following this revelation, the young man was promptly released, while Tunde remained in custody for an extended probe.

Additional searches of his phone allegedly revealed more intimate exchanges, including messages, explicit images, and videos, with Segun appearing to be the most frequent contact.

Tunde reportedly admitted to being in a romantic relationship with Segun during questioning.

As the investigation progressed, the police sought to question Segun regarding his interactions with Tunde.

When law enforcement officials contacted him via WhatsApp, Segun reportedly informed them that he was unavailable at the time.

Suspicious of his response, officers proceeded to raid his residence in an attempt to apprehend him.

Unable to locate Segun, the police allegedly arrested his brother and sister instead, reportedly using their detention as leverage to compel Segun’s surrender.

With the intervention of a legal representative, the siblings were released on bond after spending five days in custody.

However, authorities subsequently declared Segun wanted and issued an ultimatum, warning that failure to present himself within seven days would result in the re-arrest of his family members.

The incident has sparked widespread discussion about law enforcement procedures, the treatment of individuals accused of same-sex relationships, and the legal and ethical implications of detaining family members as a means of coercion.

Human rights advocates have raised concerns about privacy violations and due process in the handling of the case.

As the situation unfolds, it remains unclear what legal actions will be taken against the accused parties, and whether Segun will comply with the authorities’ demands. More updates will follow as investigations continue.
