The Lagos State Police Command has declared Abiodun Ariori, Chief Executive Officer of Prosperous Ariori Golden Venture Limited, wanted in connection with the violent confrontation in the Owode Onirin area of Lagos that claimed three lives.

According to the Command, the incident erupted during a heated clash between local traders and suspected land grabbers, sparking chaos in the community.

On Wednesday, August 27, 2025, the Commissioner of Police, Olohundare Jimoh, personally led a team of officers to the troubled scene in a bid to restore calm.

Unfortunately, three individuals who sustained injuries during the violence were later confirmed dead on arrival at the hospital.

A police inspector also wounded in the attack remains in critical condition.

Preliminary investigations have linked Ariori to the bloody unrest.

Police authorities disclosed that efforts to arrest him have so far been unsuccessful, as the suspect—described as dark in complexion with a last known address in Egbeda—remains on the run.
