Rivers  state police have made a significant breakthrough, apprehending Diseye Ukulu, 36, and Achionu Solomon Chukwuma (aka Solex), two notorious cultists linked to the recent deadly gang wars in Port Harcourt’s Diobu area.

These clashes tragically claimed the lives of about five people, including an innocent commercial cab driver caught in the crossfire.

The arrests, a direct result of Commissioner of Police Olugbenga Adepoju’s directive to dismantle criminal networks, were executed through a joint operation.

The team comprised Police Operatives from the Special Operations and Intelligence Team, Hawk Tactical Squad, Anti-Cultism Unit, and members of the Diobu local vigilante group.

This intelligence-led mission specifically targeted the D12 and BS secret cult groups, both dangerous factions affiliated with the dreaded Deygbam cult, notorious for their history of gruesome killings in the Diobu axis.

Following Ukulu’s confession, operatives swiftly moved to Chukwuma’s residence, where they uncovered a cache of sophisticated weapons.

Both suspects and the seized weapons are now in police custody as a thorough and discreet investigation continues. Authorities are actively pursuing other members of the cult group, reinforcing the command’s unwavering commitment to bringing all perpetrators of crime to justice.

Commissioner Adepoju urges residents to continue providing timely and useful information to aid in apprehending more criminals and ensuring the safety of the community.
