Southwest APC UK inaugurates newly elected executives

• As Taiwo emerges as chairman

The South West All Progressives Congress (APC) United Kingdom, has inaugurated a new caucus of executives to pilot the affairs of the body, ably led by the Chairman Hon. Andrew Taiwo.

Hon. Taiwo is to coordinate the Southwest caucus executive peopled by other eleven distinguished personalities and members nominated and elected across the six states of the southwest zone.

The caucus is saddled with the responsibility of ensuring political harmony and peace as well as championing the cause of their members in the diaspora.

The oath taking session was administered by a revered leader of the group Otunba Ayo Balogun.

The newly inaugurated Chairman Hon.Taiwo will be working for the good of the group with Hon Abiodun Ali the vice Chairman (Lagos State), Hon. Ayo Adigun the secretary (Ondo State), Alhaji Oguntade the Treasurer (Oyo State), the Welfare Secretary Princess Ladigbolu (Oyo State), Financial Secretary Hon. Ayokunle Agunbiade (Ekiti State), Publicity Secretary, Councillor (UK) Hon. Tunde Ajisola (Ekiti State) and the caucus Woman Leader. Pastor Margaret Apoeso.

Others are Organizing Secretary ceded to (Lagos State), the Youth Leader Mr. Kayode Ojelade (Ogun State), Prince Olagbegi (Ondo State) the Deputy Organizing Secretary, while Mr. Alalade (Osun State) was elected Assistant Secretary.

In his acceptance speech Hon.Taiwo the new chairman recounted the importance of the southwest in the evolution of diaspora polity, “Southwest is the mother of all party caucuses”.

“The whole six states in the southwest are one, that is why we call it the Southwest region.For me I am really honoured and grateful to you all who elected me to serve in this position for the good of southwest.

“Southwest is the mother of all Nigeria political party in UK for obvious reasons, being the first Nigeria political group in United Kingdom because southwest is the pioneer of Nigeria politics in UK.

“For that I take this position seriously, and I promise I will do all my best to serve you all and work hard to move Southwest forward ”

Giving words of advice to the newly inaugurated executives Otunba Femi Adenuga one of the revered personalities in the group, from Lagos State charged them to guide against division within their ranks, he implored them to work together involving all the representations from the six states of the southwest.

Prince Olukoga a stakeholder in the group also corroborated the stance of Otunba Adenuga on the need to have a united front.

Other Party leaders that spoke at the inauguration were, Revered Leader, Hon. Kolawole Saidu (Former Oyo State UK chairman) Hon Gbenla, the current Oyo State UK Chairman, Hon. Femi Durodola ( Former APC UK Secretary) was also in tandem with the need to forge ahead positively with clear set goals.
