Spectrum bags National Daily Newspaper’s MfB of the Year

Spectrum Microfinance Bank has been named the 2022 Microfinance Bank of the Year by National Daily Newspaper at a glamorous event in Lagos.

The event tagged: “National Daily Award of Excellence” was held at the Oriental Hotel, Lagos on May 12, 2023, under the chairmanship of Prince Julius Adelusi Founder of Juli Pharmacy while former President Olusegun Obasanjo who was a Special Guest of honour delivered the keynote address.

Spectrum Microfinance Bank evolved from the acquisition of Providence Microfinance Bank which was incorporated in May 2006 to carry on microfinance business with an operational license issued by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

In December 2019, the CBN formally approved the bank to commence operations under her new name-Spectrum Microfinance Bank limited.

It has been able to meet the needs of millions of underserved low-income earners including those who do not have access to formal financial services in the country.

Reacting on the award, CEO and Editor-In-Chief of National Daily, Sylvester Ebhodage said Spectrum Microfinance Bank is innovative and responsive bank that has over the years offer bouquet of financial services and products to micro, small and medium enterprises in the country.

“Spectrum MfB leverages the best talents and technology to deliver unparalleled value to its customers, offering superior product portfolio that is customer-focused and innovative, yet simple.

“While we use the opportunity to show appreciation to many top public figures and top dignitaries in the country whose gestures have been worthy of emulation and whose actions over the years, and most especially within the period under review, have contributed in one way or another in uplifting humanity,” he added.
