As Africa is full of different tribes, cultures, and languages that stand for their identity, there are many African tribes that have traced their origins to other African tribes, while some claim that they migrated from other continents to Africa.

In this article, we are going to talk about the 2 African tribes that believe that they migrated from Israel to their current homeland.

Lemba tribe:

The Lemba people are one of the largest tribes in Africa, with the majority based in Zimbabwe and some parts of Malawi. These people have a lot of culture that is similar to the Jews of Israel.

According to their history, their forefathers migrated from Israel to Africa in search of gold thousands of years ago before settling down there.

Upon their claim, the Israel government did a DNA test for them and these people passed, which guarantees that their history is legit.

The majority of Lemba people are Jews, Christians, and Muslims. They are recorded as one of the oldest tribes in Africa, and they speak Bantu as their mother tongue.

Beta Israel or the Falasha tribe:

These people also believed that they had a good relationship with Israel. In their history, when they were in exile in Egypt and when the first destruction of the temple happened by the Babylonians in 586 BC.

These people lived in Egypt for hundreds of years before some of them migrated to Sudan, Yemen, and some found their way to Ethiopia, which is now their homeland.

Some of these people also passed the DNA test that was conducted for them by the Israeli authorities, and some of them migrated back to Israel, while some chose to live in Ethiopia. The vast majority of them are Jews, and some of them also practice Islam and Christianity.
