Tinubu is indeed the people's choice - Gov Uba Sani

Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State, congratulating President Bola Tinubu on his victory at the Supreme court of Nigeria on Thursday, declared that “President Tinubu is, indeed, the people’s choice.”

The governor noted that the well reasoned judgement has removed all doubts about the credibility or legitimacy of the mandate freely given to Mr. President by the Nigerian people.

I wish to congratulate our dear leader, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR on the affirmation of his election victory by the Supreme Court. The well reasoned judgement has removed all doubts about the credibility or legitimacy of the mandate freely given to Mr. President by the Nigerian people.

This is the time for all political actors to close ranks and support the President as he works tirelessly to pull Nigeria out of its crisis. Our country and people are going through incredible challenges. Let us all focus on fashioning and implementing workable solutions to our problems.

The Supreme Court had its judgement on Thursday struck out the appeals filed by Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) challenging the judgement of the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal (PEPT) which upheld the victory of President Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the February 25 presidential poll.

The Supreme Court, accordingly, validated the judgement of the Appeal Court and upheld the election of President Tinubu.

Obi and Atiku, unsatisfied with the decisions of the INEC Chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, and the PEPT, proceeded to the Supreme Court to upturn Tinubu’s election.
