Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has reunited her son, King Andre, with his father, businessman Olakunle Churchill, ending a bitter decade-long separation that captivated Nigeria’s entertainment industry.

The emotional meeting took place in the presence of popular clergyman Pastor Jerry Eze, with Tonto describing the reunion as a moment of grace and restoration.

The heartwarming moment was shared on Tonto Dikeh’s social media pages today, where she expressed gratitude and reflected on the divine nature of the reconciliation that saw father and son embrace after years apart.

Sharing the reunion video, Tonto reflected on how time may pass, but what God ordains can never be cancelled, describing the reunion as proof that grace can rewrite stories people once thought were over.

“Time failed. Grace prevailed. Time could not cancel what God ordained. Restoration has a voice, and today it spoke,” the actress wrote in an emotional post accompanying photos and videos of the reunion.

The actress poured out gratitude to her spiritual father, Papa Jerry Eze, crediting his guidance and prayers for helping shape her growth and strength.

Speaking for the first time about the reunion, Churchill admitted he was pleasantly surprised when his son called him “Daddy” for the first time, describing the moment as deeply touching and a reminder of God’s limitless power.

“I was pleasantly surprised when I received a call from my son, King Andre, for the first time. Hearing him call me ‘Daddy’ was deeply touching and a reminder that what God cannot do does not exist,” Churchill stated.

Churchill also praised Tonto for her role as an amazing mother, while in the comment section, Tonto affectionately referred to Churchill as “Big Church,” celebrating the moment and the restored bond between father and son.

The reconciliation marks the end of one of Nollywood’s most contentious public feuds. The pair met at a nightclub in Lagos in 2014, held a high-profile traditional wedding in August 2015 in Rivers State, and welcomed their son, King Andre, in February 2016.

The marriage dissolved in 2017 amid intense media scrutiny and mutual allegations, with Dikeh’s father reportedly returning the bride price to Churchill’s family by June 2017.

For nearly ten years, the former couple engaged in public battles, with broken communication, bitterness, and pain defining their relationship as they struggled with co-parenting arrangements.

The reconciliation journey began on Saturday, January 24, 2026, when Tonto shocked fans by announcing she had made peace with Churchill after a decade of hostility.

One notable part of her reconciliation message was when she referred to her son using his father’s surname, calling him “King-Andre Churchill,” a gesture many interpreted as a sign of genuine reconciliation.

In her announcement, Tonto mentioned God 14 times, with observers noting this showed a deep spiritual transformation in the actress, who has become increasingly open about her Christian faith in recent months.

The reunion has generated overwhelming support from fans and colleagues who have watched the pair’s highly publicized disputes play out since 2017.

“So I started today again with tears of joy. Thank God for his peace that passes all understanding,” one fan commented.

Another wrote: “Why am I crying, it is tears of joy. Alleluia to most high, I am happy for you my darling.”

“True definition of ‘soft life’. This life is not supposed to be hard and complicated. Everything looking and feeling so soft here,” another supporter added.

However, some netizens have directed attention to Churchill’s current wife, Rosy Meurer, with speculation about how the reconciliation might affect their marriage. Churchill and Rosy are still married, and Tonto has not indicated that she and Churchill are resuming their romantic relationship—only committing to peaceful co-parenting.

Following their reconciliation, Tonto and Churchill are now following each other once again on Instagram, taking concrete steps to demonstrate their commitment to working together for their son’s wellbeing.

The actress concluded her message by encouraging others facing similar hardships to maintain faith, stating: “Your story is not over.”
