The Industry Newspaper, Nigeria’s foremost brand marketing publication, has unveiled a new initiative tagged “Industry Men of Impact”, designed to celebrate 50 outstanding male professionals who are making remarkable contributions in the Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC), entertainment, banking, telecommunications, entrepreneurship, technology, and energy sectors.

The new platform joins the publication’s established flagship projects—The Industry Summit and Awards and The Industry Women Conference—as part of its mission to spotlight excellence and leadership within Nigeria’s business and communications landscape.

The maiden edition of Men of Impact 2025, themed “Empowering Men: Achieving Balance in a Fast-Paced World”, is scheduled to hold on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at Radisson Blu, Isaac John, GRA, Ikeja, Lagos, starting at 2:00 pm.

The event will begin with a thought-provoking panel session featuring respected industry leaders, followed by the presentation of plaques to the selected top 50 honorees.

Explaining the rationale for the platform, the Editor-in-Chief of The Industry Newspaper, Goddie Ofose, said the 50 practitioners for the inaugural edition were carefully selected by the editorial team of the newspaper in collaboration with a group of respected brand and marketing journalists.

According to Ofose, the “Men of Impact” honorees represent influential and accomplished professionals who are driving innovation, shaping the future of the IMC sector, and making tangible contributions across industries. He noted that these individuals include thought leaders, award-winning creatives, visionary entrepreneurs, industry advocates, and changemakers.

“Their impact is visible in areas such as driving growth and innovation, mentoring and developing talent, shaping industry policies, creating impactful campaigns, and promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion,” he said.

Ofose further explained that the initiative goes beyond industry recognition to also emphasize men’s health, wellness, and balance in professional and personal life.

“Highlighting the achievements of male practitioners can inspire younger professionals and project a positive image of the industry. By showcasing men who embody healthy lifestyles, strong relationships, and emotional well-being, we can encourage others to prioritize their health and seek support when needed,” he noted.

He added that celebrating male industry leaders will also help break stigmas surrounding men’s health, particularly mental wellness, by fostering open conversations that create a supportive environment where men can freely discuss personal and professional challenges.

On the broader impact of the recognition, Ofose said acknowledging the contributions of male practitioners boosts morale and motivation across industries, while also strengthening the visibility of the IMC sector within Nigeria’s socio-economic landscape.

The list of the Top 50 Industry Men of Impact 2025 will be officially unveiled at a media conference in Lagos on Monday, September 22, 2025, ahead of the November award ceremony.
