Barcelona will play their next away Champions League match without fans and face a €10,000 ($11,000) fine due to a racist banner displayed by supporters, UEFA announced on Friday.

The incident occurred during a match against Monaco on September 19, when fans unveiled a sign reading “Flick Heil,” a reference to their German coach Hansi Flick, echoing the Nazis’ “Sieg Heil.”

In response, FC Barcelona issued a statement rejecting any form of violence and confirmed their commitment to comply with UEFA’s sanctions.

The club emphasized that they would enhance existing measures and implement additional initiatives to prevent such occurrences in the future and hold those responsible accountable.

Barcelona’s next away fixture is scheduled against Serbian club Crvena Zvezda in Belgrade on November 6.

They lost their previous match against Monaco 2-1.
