A truly prosperous person is of a benevolent spirit; he’s quick to give, and derives joy in helping others to become prosperous. It makes no difference if you’ve had unpleasant experiences in trying to help others.
According to Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSC DD, he justified the assertion helping others has so many values spiritually, physically and other prospective way of Life
“True prosperity is looking out for opportunities to be a blessing to others. It’s finding joy and excitement in helping and extending love to others”
It makes no difference if you’ve had unpleasant experiences in trying to help others, Perhaps you’ve helped someone become successful who eventually turned against you; don’t become bitter.
Keep up the good work, knowing that the Lord will reward your labour of love. Hebrews 6:10 says, “For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name….”
Moreover, Jesus said, “But love ye your enemies, and do well, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil” (Luke 6:35).
Remain the helper and the giver, remember, helping others is a gift; it’s a unique ability from God. And the Bible says, “…If you have the gift of helping others, do it with the strength that God supplies…” (1 Peter 4:11 CEV).
As you help others, the Lord will keep increasing His grace on your life, for greater victories and successes.
Do not be fooled by People who says it has so much adverse effects of helping others,
The human heart is filled with alot of thoughts. Our soul’s grow, and find happiness, when we give to others. In fact, we are wired to be compassionate and kind, It is a genetic necessity for human survival.
The trust, connection and cooperation engendered through supporting others, creates community, restores the lonely hearts and brings joy.
According to Winston Churchill -“We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.”
There is something so natural about supporting, when we actually do it that it makes one wonder why we can fall prey to the mind that champion’s self-centeredness as the route to peace and happiness.
The mind tries to talk the heart out of generosity and kindness. There are many wonderful benefits of supporting others, the most important has to be happiness.
It is empowering to feel able to help others, by helping others, you are given great gifts – the space to be kind, to create good karma, and to lift yourself up as you serve another.
When you lose yourself in another’s challenges, you trigger feelings of gratitude for your own life.
The problems you’re facing somehow lose their shine, and you don’t see them as major issues anymore.
You feel grateful for your life as you support another with their life, this is a true gift; psychologists and spiritual mystics alike have long been saying gratitude is an important way we create true happiness and peace.
According to Martin Luther King Jr — “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others? .
We are much more deeply connected than we could ever imagine, and everything we do to another, we do to ourselves.
As we encourage another, or celebrate their success, we are sending the same message to ourselves.
There really is no “other”, we are all droplets of the same ocean, so we are really helping ourselves when we give to the “other.”
Be the help you want in others and other would definitely be a Blessing to you in such times.
