The Brazil national team is no doubt set to make a great impact in the World Cup campaign later this month.
Antony who made a £85 million summer move to Manchester United from Ajax and currently with the Brazil’s national side in preparation for the tournament was reportedly laughed at by his national team-mates for his failed attempt during their first-touch challenge.
National Daily gathered that Brazilian TV station Globo had ahead of the tournament, set up a challenge with the squad where they had to control a ball which was dropped by a drone 30 metres in the air.
It was learnt that Real Madrid trio Rodrygo, Vinicius Jr and Eder Militao all managed to connect to the ball but failed to get it under control.
Similarly, Barcelona winger Raphinha, Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson and Flamengo striker Pedro were also able to get a touch but controlling the ball proved to be too difficult.
Meanwhile, Manchester United’s Antony stepped up for his attempt but the Brazil squad burst out laughing as the winger appeared to lose track of the ball and missed it by at least a metre National Daily understood.
As you’d expect, Neymar aced the challenge as he managed to get the ball under control with a sublime first touch.
Richarlison needed two attempts but on his second effort the Tottenham forward also managed to control the ball – a feat greeted with cheers from his Brazil teammates.
Brazil begin their World Cup campaign against Serbia on November 24, while they will also play Switzerland and Cameroon in Group G.
