While former President Buhari endeavoured to present the annual budget of his administration about three months to December, President Tinubu presented his 2025 budget in December, making it incumbent to deliberate on the budget the subsequent year, 2025.
President Tinubu presented the 2025 budget of N47.9 trillion in December; in same manner he presented the 2024 budget of N27.5 trillion in December 2023 before the joint-session of the National Assembly.
The budget time frame was a remarkable controversy in the PDP government, besides supplementary budgets, which were implemented with imprecise timing, including delays in passage of budget by the federal lawmakers.
All these were rectified by former President Buhari which the 10th National Assembly has subverted and reverted to the old order.
This is the first of the Buhari legacy to be erased.
