It should be recalled that Atiku visited the former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo in Abeokuta. Though the outcome of their meeting was not revealed but it was rumoured that, his visitation to Chief Obasanjo, was all about his presidential ambition.
Meanwhile, Atiku was granted an interview immediately after his meeting with Chief Obasanjo and he made it known that, he has never missed the PDP’s ticket and he will also get the presidential ticket of the party in 2023.

This means that Governor Wike may not support Atiku’s presidential ambition and if Atiku could emerge as presidential candidate of the party, he may not get massive votes in Rivers State because he won’t get Governor Wike’s support.
Another PDP controlled State, where Atiku may not get massive votes, is Bauchi State. Atiku may not get massive votes in Bauchi State because the Governor of the state, Governor Bala Mohammed, may not support his presidential ambition.
It should be recalled that Governor Bala Mohammed is also nursing Presidential Ambition, to contest under the Platform of the Party. Meanwhile, the Governor had started his consultation, across the country.
The Former President, Goodluck Jonathan was one of the PDP Leaders, who had endorsed Governor Bala Mohammed’s Presidential Ambition in 2023.
However, If Atiku could emerge as Presidential Candidate of the Party, the Governor may not support Atiku’s Presidential Ambition and as a result of this, Atiku may find it difficult to win the state.
