Nigeria has lost another towering figure, as the Awujale and Paramount Ruler of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona, passed away on Sunday at the age of 91.

The highly revered monarch, who was one of the longest-reigning traditional rulers in Nigeria, reportedly died just hours after the announcement of the death of his close friend and former Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari.
