Bolanle Olukanni warns travelers as Dubai faces security concerns

Nigerian media personality Bolanle Olukanni has sparked online debate after suggesting that Dubai may no longer be a top choice for travelers.

Her remarks come in the wake of escalating tensions in the Middle East, particularly involving Iran, Israel, and the United States, which reportedly triggered missile and drone strikes impacting parts of the Emirate.

Dubai, long celebrated as a premier global tourist hotspot, has attracted millions of visitors annually thanks to its luxury lifestyle, iconic architecture, and world-class entertainment. However, recent security incidents have raised concerns about the safety of the city for international travelers.

Reports indicate that the attacks affected key locations, including Dubai International Airport, as well as aircraft such as an Emirates Airbus A380 and a Saudia Airbus A321. Prominent facilities on Palm Jumeirah, one of Dubai’s signature landmarks, were also reportedly targeted.

In a video shared online, Olukanni noted that such incidents could damage Dubai’s reputation as a preferred holiday destination, suggesting that travelers might reconsider their plans in light of potential safety risks.
