Massive fire erupts in Dubai Marina skyscraper, 3,800 evacuated safely
A huge fire broke out early Saturday at the 67-storey Marina Pinnacle building in Dubai Marina, forcing the evacuation of over 3,800 residents. Authorities confirmed there were no injuries or fatalities in the incident.
The blaze, which engulfed the residential high-rise—also known as Tiger Tower triggered an extensive emergency response. According to the Khaleej Times, Dubai Civil Defence teams spent nearly six hours battling the flames. Specialized units successfully evacuated all 3,820 residents from 764 apartments, ensuring everyone was safely removed from the building.
In a statement, the Dubai Media Office (DMO) confirmed that the situation was fully under control, though cooling operations continued and smoke remained visible at the site.

Authorities are now working with the tower’s developer to provide temporary housing for those displaced by the fire, stressing that resident safety remains a top priority.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation. This is not the first fire incident at Marina Pinnacle. A kitchen fire broke out on the 47th floor in 2015, spreading to the floor above before being contained. The tower is also close to The Torch, a neighbouring skyscraper that caught fire in both 2015 and 2017.
While officials praised the swift response, some residents told Gulf News that the building’s internal alarm system was lacking. Many said they only realized there was a fire when they saw emergency vehicles outside or were alerted by neighbours knocking on their doors.
